I need all the prayers I can get
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO GET YOUR OWN LAB & X RAY RESULTS and hold onto them. I just had to get an MRI when I called to schedule they said u need a bun & creatnine less then 6 weeks old instead of calling around I just went to my file & there it was.
When I had my hernia in March, they did a Ct scan & found I had a adrenal mass, they have been watching it and I just had an MRI 2 weeks ago that showed I also have 2 cysts and an adrenal mass..
when I had the MRI done i immediately asked them for a copy of the disc which they gave me and yesterday I went to NE imaging to get a copy of the written report. the radiologist didnt make any suggestions about surgery recommendations or tx, so I called my oncologist and wanted to know what was going on with my results , the girl told me she didnt get the results yet, I said I have them so I faxed them right over to her and when she read them she said he will want to see rhe disc, well I have it so I drove it over & handed it to her by now it was 4 o'clock... So hopefully he will look at it today.
I read online this can be pretty common and they r usually found when u r looking for something else, since I had cervical cancer 2 years ago exactly I am a little nuts. I dont know how they can tell if it is benign w/o a biopsy.
I have been up all night worrying about this. I cant discuss it with my daughter & DH cause they will get upset. I m really worried cause my sister who is an R.N. is quite concerned
I m calling Barix when someone is there to see if Dr. P. can do this, cause it can be done laparoscopically & she is the QUEEN of the LAPRASCOPE, besides I dont want my pretty belly and back that Dr. Lam contoured for me to get messed up( I m so vain)

sue i have no idea what to say . i truly feel concern for you and am a little scared for you. but remember you are strong and it is early. you have the best surgeon on your side. when my brother had cancer they kept telling him that positive thoughts would benefit him health wise and there is a strong link between the mind and body. knowing this and you , there is no way you can lose any fight. you are Strong and determined person with many people who love you.
hopefully you will tell us Saturday that everything is fine

Thoughts and prayers with you Sue. Good advice keeping copies of your test results. I have only had to get bloodwork done, but I, too always get a copy of my records just in case.
I hope the results are that there is nothing to worry about, but if there is, I hope they can resolve it quickly and with little impact on your existing scars.

Many, many prayers coming your way, Susan - I can only imagine how frightened you are, but I would think that your DH and daughter will be even more upset that you haven't told them? They're your family and your strength - and I'm sure they would want to be thre for you thru all this.
Take care and keep us posted....Kathy
Susan,
Thoughts and prayers coming your way. It's great that you are such a responsible patient and so self-involved in your health care - it can make a huge difference in the speed of diagnosis!
One thought, though, is that if you go with an oncologist (the guy i went to at fox chase was awesome and very knowledgeable about WLS) they will do the biopsy and while you are still under anesthesia will have the lab read it... if there is anything of concern, they'll do the resection while you're still under anesthesia. They also have imaging capabilities that Dr. P doesn't have. That's why she sent me to them when she found the lesions while doing my surgery.
The guy I saw at Fox Chase was John Hoffman - I would have no hesitation recommending him:

Best of luck to you - hang in there and just keep breathing. You will get through this. Call me if you want to talk.
Hugs.

Susan,
I sure hope that this is resolved in a positive way and as was said the fact that you are proactive about your health is a very good thing, so let's just think positive happy thoughts about this.
Hugs, Laureen
